While Delaney had volleyball camp in Lincoln for 2 days, my mom and I did some exploring. We stopped at the International Quilt Museum (how cool is that?!), the sunken gardens of Lincoln, and a delightful little bookstore. There were also a few neat little restaurants and shops near our hotel since we stayed in the Haymarket District. And every day, we passed Memorial Stadium since our hotel wasn't far from the campus. In fact, Mom's view from her window included the stadium. It was a very nice low-key couple of days!
Chelan and I took Delaney to Kansas City for the championship game of the NCAA Volleyball Tournament - a birthday gift given to her in August. What a cool experience! From posing with the trophy to testing her vertical (6th place for all girls who tried!), to watching the match between Texas A&M and Kentucky, to a real life reindeer in the arena, we had a fun day!
