Days With the Duerksens

We can't believe 6 years have passed already! I told Chelan the other day, "In another 6years he'll be 12! Will it really go this fast?" He, of course, assured me it would! Caiden had a pretty good birthday week: bowling with the Epp side, going to Build-a-Bear Workshop with his cousin Ty for both of their birthdays (he carries his fire dog, Drip, everywhere he goes now!), and haing a friend over to play on his actual birthday. Some of Caiden's favorite things at 6 years old are: blue, green, purple, red (all dark colors, he says), riding his bike, helping Dad,working in his sandbox, and Cale, Mace, and Ty (his 3 close-by cousins) We love you, buddy! A newborn 6 years ago! A soccer cake -- of course Chelan did most of the decorating! Since Caiden's birthday was during spring break, we told him he could have a friend from school over to play. They had a good time with Caiden's new remote control car, the train track, and playing outside. The Feb./Mar

We said good-bye to our old house on Tuesday. While we were thankful to finally sell it, it was a little strange to see it go. Actually, both Chelan and I passed half of it on the highway on our way home from work -- really strange. Caiden enjoyed watching the progress on Monday, and he went out to take some pictures. Thanks to Agatha, we have some pictures from yesterday when they moved it! On Monday, they prepared the house to move. They removed some siding so they could split the house. They also tore the front porch off -- Chelan was most sad about that. He and Treg worked hard at building it! Looking in on half of our house! There it goes -- past our new house! Here's what's left!
