Christmas Eve

"For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Savior,  which is Christ the Lord."   Luke 2:11

Pre-Christmas Surprise

On Dec. 22, I woke up to Caiden not feeling well. In fact, he said he hadn't ever felt the kind of pain he was experiencing that morning. Reluctantly, I made an appointment. Long story, short - it was good he complained because he ended up having his appendix out that afternoon! It must have been at the very beginning stages and thankfully hadn't burst. So, we were in and out of the hospital by midnight that night. Maybe the worst part about the whole thing is that his wisdom teeth surgery had to be postponed since it was supposed to be the very next week. He'll go back to school minus an appendix, but still having his wisdom teeth until February 16! Pre-op Post-op

November Snow

On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, we were blessed with the most beautiful snow. There was no wind, and the snow fell all day while I decorated the house for Christmas. It felt almost magical! We ended up with at least 10 inches of snow - more than we've had in years!

Jr. High Fall Fun

Delaney has fully embraced Spirit Weeks at school and her friends have, too! I join in when the theme is easy and I actually have stuff laying around.  It's fun being able to see her at school during the day, even if she might not agree with that. . .  8th graders - Opposite Day Anything but a Backpack Rhyme for No Reason Day: Pom pom, Soccer Mom, No-Date-to-Prom Skippy/Hippie Chelan and I recently became area-wide Jr. High sponsors with Brandon and Kristi Unruh. We get to plan a few events throughout the year for the jr. high in the community, which are sponsored by the Goessel Ministerial Alliance. Our first event of the year was a hayrack ride and smores/activities at the Unruh Farm! We had a great turnout and I think it was a fun evening for everyone!
