Kansas State Fair

The girls and I enjoyed a Sunday at the state fair in September.  Cambry participated in her first state photo judging contest, and while she really didn't want to, it was a good experience for her (I hope).  We did enjoy some of the fun things the fair had to offer, and the girls had Pronto Pups for the first time - can you believe it? They also discovered that fried cookie dough isn't all it's cracked up to be. . . Cambry had one photograph on exhibit, and it received a blue ribbon!  All in all, a good day! Ready for judging to begin

Fall Harvest

Somehow, fall harvest came and went rather quickly this year since there were no rains to slow them down.  Or maybe it just felt fast to me because of our busy days spinning around us!  I love watching three generations work together - through the ups, downs, and everything in between.  Getting the beans and corn cut definitely wasn't smooth sailing - the auger had to be replaced on the combine and bad bearings caused a few small fires, but none of that stopped them for too long.  And thankfully, there were no injuries to report!  They wrapped it all up in early November this year.

It seems Caiden did some growing this fall! They played one game over 2 days - thanks to lightning on Friday night Walking laps in the rain #12 - playing guard Cambry made the jump to B team this year, and we couldn't be prouder of her!  She became a consistent server for her team, and they finished the season with a winning record.  She also got to play with some fun teammates, making this is her favorite volleyball season out of the three. Another First Day

The 2019-2020 School Year is off!  4th Grade, 8th Grade, and a sophomore (not pictured)!  The first day of school is always a reminder of just how dark it is at 6:45 a.m.!  And, we welcomed a new bus driver for this year - Martin Tibbetts.  Here's to a great year!
