Busy Weeks

 After being home and on such a slow schedule for so many months, the busy weeks of school have been a little hard to adjust to!  We forgot what it was like to be constantly on-the-go with school activities, and at the same time, the fall harvest and planting has been in full swing since not having rain for at least 6 weeks - and no chances in sight.   So, what has happened in the 7 weeks since school started?  Denise Voth and I coached these goofy girls through a short season of volleyball.  The team was mostly 5th graders, but we also had a few 4th graders and even one 3rd grader - quite a range of abilities.  I'm quite sure they had a good time!  Delaney spends most evenings outside playing volleyball with the roof (and with me).  It's fun to see her improve and to watch her challenge herself to get better! Delaney finally got to choose her instrument - the French horn!  Her best friend, Quinli, is also playing French horn, so they ought to enjoy their upcoming band years to
