Wheat Harvest 2017

It's been full steam ahead for most of this week!  The farmers were stopped by a thunderstorm Thursday evening, but by Sat. afternoon, they were back at it!  There are 3 farmers this year:  Caiden has joined the ranks as a full-time grain bin operator.  We're not sure if he likes it because he can be on his Kindle while he waits, if he truly enjoys being part of the action, or if it's a combination of the two.  Either way, he sure seems grown-up when he's on a tractor, and it's pretty cool to see three generations at work together! Look out, Delaney!

New Vision

We were getting clues that Cambry's vision was not quite up-to-par so I finally got her to the eye doctor.  Sure enough, glasses were in order.  After waiting for 2 weeks, she was quite excited to pick them up.  Her first impressions were so interesting:  "Things have outlines!  I can read the road signs!"  In fact, she read road signs all the way home.  I don't know why we waited so long - it's a wonder she made it through the school year!

Almost in Middle School!

Wow - this girl turned 11 on May 26!  I can't believe she will join Caiden at the middle school in a couple of months!  A new sewing machine was in order for her with sewing camp coming up in a few weeks and some additional sewing for the fair.  The one from my grandma just wasn't cutting it anymore, and she didn't waste any time trying it out!  She also received some things to get ready for the fall:  a new gym bag and a new lunch bag. Her creativity, generous spirit, and willingness to give (most) things a try continue to impress us.  She is definitely growing up! These two! she just had to take a pic of the wrapping!
