On Monday, Amy and I trekked out to Friends University to take a workshop about using websites in the classroom. It was okay - the teacher was . . . not a real overachiever! I was exposed to websites that millions of people know about but that I didn't know existed! Taking a class like this reminds me of how long it has been since I have been in a classroom.
I had never heard the term "word cloud" before, but when I saw what it was, I realized I had seen examples everywhere! So, here are my very fast and simple examples from tagxedo.com and wordle.net. I also learned about a website called Big Huge Labs. You can make all kinds of fun things there like the inspirational poster I put together on the bottom. You'll notice that I did NOT have teaching on the brain for this class!

This one is from wordle.net - Cambry is having fun playing with this site! |
If only there had been a cow shape - the rooster was the closest I could come! |
