9 years ago I was a teacher to 3rd graders.
My very first class ever.
They challenged me. I (hope) I challenged them.
Last night, they graduated from high school.
They are moving on to figure out their futures.
Funny, I feel like I'm doing the same thing.
Will I teach again? Full time? Part time?
Do I want to teach again?
What does God have planned for my future?
I'm trying not to worry about it - I know I'm not supposed to.
But, I do.
For now, I'm a full-time mom. And, for now, that's where I want to be.
Who knew that a graduation would bring all these feelings to the surface?!
(picture coming - I hope I can find it -- when I taught 3rd grade, I didn't own a digital camera yet!)

I have these feelings too! I've been thinking about it a lot lately because my KS teaching license will expire in November and I'm not sure what to do. Renewing it would require taking a few classes and I'm not sure whether I want to do that or not.
ReplyDeleteLast summer, a bunch of my students from my first year of teaching got married! Made me feel old!
