Springtime Fun!

Spring has been pretty fun this year. It might be all the warm weather we've been having, the beautiful flowering trees, getting our hands dirty in the garden again (I'm so thankful to be outside again), watching Caiden's "wheat field" grow (at the sandbox -- it really is wheat and it really is growing), or the new kittens the kids like to play with. Whatever it is, this has been one of the best springs I can remember! I wish I had more pictures to show for it -- may have to add some later!

We only have 2 kittens in this batch. Caiden has named them Crystal and Ashes. Hope they stick around -- he's really having fun with them!

Such a cute face -- I'm a sucker for kittens!

My mom took this picture of Cambry at her house -- I love it!

  1. The kittens are ADORABLE! Love the names...good job Caiden! And I so agree with your thoughts on the picture of Cambry. That is such a great angle! The clouds in the background are picture perfect!

Choosing Trust Over Fear

I have struggled with writing about the shooting in Hesston - in fact, I wasn't going to post anything about it.  However, for the sake of memories, I decided I should at least touch on it.  It does deserve a place. NCAA Division 1 Volleyball Championships

Chelan and I took Delaney to Kansas City for the championship game of the NCAA Volleyball Tournament - a birthday gift given to her in August. What a cool experience! From posing with the trophy to testing her vertical (6th place for all girls who tried!), to watching the match between Texas A&M and Kentucky, to a real life reindeer in the arena, we had a fun day!

Girl Named Tom

Bethel College, Beautiful Night, Free Concert - need I say more? The Administration Building has never looked better! Delaney and her friend Elaina got to meet them afterwards - that's Delaney in the shadows! :)
