It's A . . .

Well, we had our sonogram on Wednesday morning. Chelan and I still hadn't decided if we wanted to find out the gender, but we had her put the result in an envelope. After supper, we had Caiden open the envelope. Chelan helped him read what was on the picture -- "It's a girl!" So, Caiden and Cambry will have a new sister around August 17! We are excited for this news -- even Caiden and Cambry seem okay with it. They had been hoping for a brother! :)

Everything from the sonogram looked normal. The tech. said she weighs about 1 pound at this point. They even moved my due date up a little over a week. That's one less hot week of summer to make it through!

Choosing Trust Over Fear

I have struggled with writing about the shooting in Hesston - in fact, I wasn't going to post anything about it.  However, for the sake of memories, I decided I should at least touch on it.  It does deserve a place. NCAA Division 1 Volleyball Championships

Chelan and I took Delaney to Kansas City for the championship game of the NCAA Volleyball Tournament - a birthday gift given to her in August. What a cool experience! From posing with the trophy to testing her vertical (6th place for all girls who tried!), to watching the match between Texas A&M and Kentucky, to a real life reindeer in the arena, we had a fun day!

Girl Named Tom

Bethel College, Beautiful Night, Free Concert - need I say more? The Administration Building has never looked better! Delaney and her friend Elaina got to meet them afterwards - that's Delaney in the shadows! :)
