Days With the Duerksens

Happy Birthday to our provider, our entertainer, our teacher, our baker, and now, a new patent creator for AGCO-good news for his birthday!  

It felt good to gather with our families for Easter.  Last year, we quietly celebrated at home and really haven't been together much in the past year with either side.  What a joy to celebrate together again!  

Planting season has begun, and this year it began with a new-to-us planter.  It has taken quite a few hours to learn the ropes, but they have successfully completed the corn-planting for this year!  

Still smiling, 17 years later!  Happy Birthday, Caiden!  

Spring Break offered us a chance to have a girls' paint night.  Kacie led us and some other participants through a step-by-step paint project.  It was a fun night!    

 I can tell things are getting back to normal because I don't have time to keep this updated weekly like I did a year ago!  Spring has arrived and so has golf - for both Caiden and Cambry this year!  We are extremely proud of Cambry for giving something new a try.  And the best part is - she is loving it! So far, Caiden has managed to improve in the 3 meets he has had, despite less than desirable weather conditions.  Last week, he finished 14th out of 61 golfers!  He is hoping to do even better in his next meets, and one goal he has is to make it to the state tournament at the end of May. This was a fun group in Hillsboro! All this golf is rubbing off on Delaney too! Guard dog! Cambry got this cool shot!
